About Me

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, a border community, as a proud decedent of New Mexican Hispanos and Mexican braceros and husband to photographer Julius.

I moved to Colorado and studied linguistics at CU Boulder but never had a job in linguistics. Instead I fell into a career as a web developer, software engineer and solutions architect working in marketing technology, print on-demand, e-commerce and financial technology. I've worked for several startups and few larger companies, including Google and TiVo.

In parallel, I've been active in my community, serving on several board and active in the Democratic Party. I currently serve as chair of the Democratic Party of Denver.
